Hope in the Hollow

"It's empty." She stared in disbelief.

Despair colored her eyes as the last shred of hope faded from her lips.

The others turned to look thinking surely, she was wrong. But it was true.


Confirmed. Verified. Empty.

We've all been there. The emptiness presides no matter what we try to fill it with. But what if emptiness wasn't the end? What if it was actually the beginning? What if, looking closely, we found hope in the hollow places?

This page is empty today. But I want to fill it with stories and explorations of how even the darkest of vacancies can give birth to new life. I want to fill it with hope.

As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus' body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot. They asked her, "Woman, why are you crying?"

"They have taken my Lord away," she said, "and I don't know where they have put him."

Don't be alarmed," he said. "You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here.    (John 20:13 and Mark 16:6)
